The Secretariat for Infrastructure (Seinfra) of the Government of Ceará received the 2023 Panel Trophy for National Infrastructure and Logistics Efficiency, thanks to the implementation of photovoltaic systems in 32 public schools in the state. The award aims to value professionals and government agencies that develop infrastructure projects in the energy and transport sector.
The trophy, created by Logistic Panel Magazine, was awarded in the “public enterprise” category, after an open public consultation, which obtained 595 votes between the 15th and 30th of June. The trophy delivery ceremony will be held on November 21, during the opening of the Panel 2023 meeting, in Brasília (DF).
The initiative began in 2020, through the opening of tenders, with the aim of encouraging renewable sources and improving efficiency in energy use, in addition to modernizing schools to offer quality education. So far, 29 schools have been selected for the solar energy generation process, with the expectation of saving around R 8.8 million, coming from Seinfra.
Winning the Panel Trophy is an important recognition for Seinfra and the Government of Ceará, which demonstrate commitment to the sustainability and modernization of public schools in the state. The initiative also serves as an example for other government agencies and companies that wish to invest in renewable sources and energy efficiency.
