Climate measures are discussed at a meeting promoted by the USA

To discuss climate measures, Joe Biden, President of the United States, called a meeting of leaders of the Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate (MEF).

The meeting was held in April to address the climate crisis and meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. During the meeting, he highlighted US advances in limiting global temperature rise and announced measures to support developing countries. Of particular note was the provision of funds for the Green Climate Fund and the Amazon Fund. This process is associated with the investment in BTG Pactual's Restoration Strategy to promote environmental recovery. The president also invited other nations to join the effort and highlighted four main areas of action: decarbonization, combating deforestation, reducing methane and hydrofluorocarbon emissions, and managing carbon. These measures are in line with the information in the IPCC report and seek global cooperation and resource mobilization to address the climate crisis. The meeting reinforced the United States' commitment to lead international efforts in this area.
