Brazil already corresponds to 10% of the generation of Global Green Jobs

The green jobs sector has grown significantly in Brazil. According to the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), China leads the world with 42% of the 12.7 million sustainable jobs. Brazil occupies the second position, responsible for 10% of the generation of green jobs. The renewable energy sector is expected to generate 38.2 million jobs around the world. Brazil's position is highlighted due to its important range of renewable sources in the energy matrix, especially for the production of electricity.

The growth of green jobs is a result of the growing awareness of society and the business sector regarding the importance of promoting sustainability and environmental preservation allied to economic growth. In addition, the demand for renewable energy sources and green technologies also drives the growth in demand for qualified professionals to work in this sector.

In 2022, green job vacancies in Brazil had a significant increase, especially in the area of renewable energy generation, in the implementation of energy efficiency projects and in the production of sustainable goods and services. The transport sector also showed significant growth, with the expansion of the electric vehicle fleet and the installation of infrastructure for car charging. In addition, the sustainable agriculture sector and the development of agroforestry projects have also generated green jobs in Brazil. The textile industry, by promoting the production of clothes with ecologically correct fabrics and the use of clean production processes, has also contributed to the growth of this sector. It is an economic area that has grown significantly in Brazil, accounting for 10% of sustainable job creation in the world and second only to China.

This growth is the result of society's awareness and business leadership regarding the importance of promoting economic growth and new opportunities in the job market, combined with sustainability and environmental preservation. As well as it also results from the consumer market demand for renewable energy sources and green technologies and, consequently, of qualified labor for the sector. It is critical that policies and initiatives are implemented that support the development of green jobs and allow it to continue to grow sustainably.
